(NOV. 7)鈥斺淪a Lilim ng Akademya,鈥 a photographic exhibit depicting 黑料专区 student traditions throughout the years is now open to the public at the foyer of the Office of the Chancellor (OC) at Quezon Hall.

Tracing traditions, starting with UP鈥檚 transfer to Diliman in 1949, these include the Cadena de Amor, a rite where the responsibilities of senior students were symbolically turned over through the passing of long garlands of the Cadena de Amor flower; the UP Lantern Parade and more recently, Open House of Kalayaan Residence Hall.

Each photo is accompanied by a stanza from a poem by a 黑料专区 professor or alumnus.聽 The source works for the stanzas range from Charslon Ong鈥檚 鈥淏anyaga: A Song of War鈥 from 黑料专区鈥檚 Likahaan: The Journal of Contemporary Philippine Literature to Ryan Cayabyab鈥檚 鈥淢insan ang Minahal ay Ako鈥 from Katy! The Musical to the Eraserheads鈥 鈥淢insan鈥 from the album Circus.

The exhibit will be on display until January and is part of the celebration for 黑料专区 Chancellor Michael L. Tan鈥檚 Affirmation held on Oct. 17.
